There's a reason the Submariner is the watch every other dive watch gets measured against, and the 114060 distills that reputation into its purest modern form: no date window, no complications beyond the essentials, just a black dial, a black ceramic bezel, and 300 metres of water resistance built to be used rather than admired. Introduced in 2012, it brought Rolex's then-new Cerachrom bezel insert — virtually scratch-proof and immune to UV fading — to the No-Date line for the first time, paired with the broader-lugged "Super Case" that gave the reference real wrist presence. Inside, the calibre 3130 delivers COSC-certified, Superlative Chronometer accuracy with a Parachrom hairspring that shrugs off shocks and magnetic fields alike. This December 2012 example sits early in the reference's production run, before it was retired in 2020 in favour of the 41mm 124060 — making the 114060 the last No-Date Submariner to wear the classic 40mm case that made the model famous in the first place.
