2. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales made through our website and direct transactions unless otherwise agreed in writing. By placing an order, the customer expressly accepts these terms without reservation.

3. Product Information

We specialise in curated pre-owned watches. Each watch is individually described and authenticated prior to sale. Minor signs of wear consistent with pre-owned items may be present. Only watches for which a product page is published on thewatchcollectors.com may be sold.

4. Consignment

Watches accepted for consignment are taken in for a minimum period of two month. After this period, terms must be re-discussed with the owner.

5. Pricing

All prices are listed in EUR. Unless otherwise stated, pre-owned watches are sold under the EU Margin Scheme — VAT is not separately deductible. Prices may change at any time before order confirmation. Shipping and insurance costs are not included in the listed price unless explicitly stated.

6. Orders & Payment

An order becomes binding once payment is received and confirmed in full. All information provided by the customer when placing an order is binding. The Watch Collectors NV cannot be held responsible for errors in delivery or billing details provided by the customer.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in case of pricing errors, availability errors, or suspected fraud. In the event of cancellation, no compensation may be claimed.

Any deposit mentioned on a Pro-Forma invoice is non-refundable. If the balance is not paid by the date agreed by both parties, the deposit is forfeited and will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

7. Transfer of Ownership

Ownership transfers to the buyer upon receipt of full payment and confirmed delivery. Risk transfers upon confirmed delivery to the customer.

8. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated, pre-owned watches are sold with a 12-month in-house warranty covering functional faults and hidden defects, and the authenticity of the watch.

The warranty applies to use under normal conditions and does not cover accidental damage, misuse, shocks, magnetic fields, humidity, condensation, extreme temperatures, lack of maintenance, or any intervention outside our workshops or the brand's official service network.

The warranty does not cover maintenance, servicing, water resistance, straps, glasses, winding mechanisms, or other accessory parts. Watches more than ten years old are sold with an authenticity guarantee only, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The Watch Collectors NV reserves the right to repurchase the watch at the price paid if the cost of a warranty intervention exceeds 5% of the sale price.

9. Limitation of Liability

The liability of The Watch Collectors NV is limited in all cases to the purchase price of the watch. We cannot be held liable for indirect or consequential damages, for modifications made by manufacturers, or for any discrepancy between product photography and the actual item, as photos are provided for illustrative purposes only.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, and after seeking an amicable resolution, the competent courts of Belgium shall have jurisdiction, regardless of the place of delivery or the domicile of the customer.

11. Intellectual Property

All texts, photographs, product pages, layouts and other content appearing on thewatchcollectors.com are protected by copyright. Content may not be copied, modified, republished or placed on another site without prior written permission from The Watch Collectors NV.
