This 1979 example, identified by serial 5873285, sits in the mature production run of the 1675 case, before the transition to sapphire crystal and quickset date that arrived in the following decade.
The stainless steel and 18k gold Rolesor case pairs with a matching two-tone Jubilee bracelet, while the dial has taken on a rich, even brown patina that plays beautifully against the gold-tone Mercedes hands and applied indexes — the kind of organic aging collectors actively seek out rather than avoid.
