The caseback of this little watch tells its story: the movement is Piaget, but the case is signed Hermès, Paris. In the mid-century the Paris house retailed a small number of Piaget-made watches under its own name, and a co-signed piece like this is the more desirable for it. It is a lady's cocktail watch in 18k yellow gold, a tiny square case in a brushed florentine finish flowing straight into Piaget's woven "brick" gold bracelet.
The details are pure Piaget: a clean silvered dial with slim gold batons, and the manually wound calibre 6N1 set through the back of the case so that nothing interrupts the case sides, not even a crown. Discreet to the point of secrecy, it is the sort of watch that reads as a bracelet first and reveals itself second.
The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
