The 14060 is the no-date Submariner at its most pared back, the one collectors tend to call the modern classic. Introduced in 1990 to replace the 5513, it was the first no-date Sub to pair a sapphire crystal with a Triplock crown, lifting water resistance to 300m. It kept the clean two-line dial throughout its run and was never a certified chronometer, which is exactly why the layout stays so close to the vintage 5513 it succeeded.

This is a tritium example, marked Swiss-T<25 at six, its lume plots and Mercedes hands ageing to a soft ivory that the later Super-LumiNova dials cannot replicate. Behind the dial sits the automatic calibre 3000, and the watch retains its 93150 Oyster bracelet with the folding diver's extension. Sapphire and Triplock make it robust enough for daily wear, while the tritium and the two-line dial keep it firmly of its period.

The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
