The Heuer Monaco ref. 1133G is one of the purest and most recognisable expressions of the early automatic chronograph era, combining the radical square Monaco case with the left-hand-crown Chronomatic architecture that made the model instantly distinctive. Its brushed steel case, wide dial opening, and date at 6 o’clock give the watch a strong graphic presence, while the slate grey dial introduces a cooler, more technical tone than the better-known blue Monaco variants. The red central chronograph hand and red-tipped luminous hands sharpen the display further, giving the watch the visual energy that defines the best early Monacos. Inside is Heuer’s calibre 11 automatic chronograph movement, the same breakthrough movement family that helped establish the Monaco as one of the defining watches of its generation. The two-register layout, 6 o’clock date, and unconventional crown placement remain central to its identity, while the square waterproof case gives the watch a design language unlike anything else of its period. In this grey-dial execution, the Monaco 1133G reads as especially sharp and architectural; a chronograph that is both historically important and visually unmistakable. Fully serviced.
