The Submariner traces back to 1953, when Rolex introduced one of the world's first purpose-built dive watches, and the green bezel variant has carried the "Kermit" nickname among collectors since it first appeared in 2003. This reference, launched in 2020, brought the model into the current 41mm "Maxi" case with the manufacture caliber 3235, replacing the outgoing 3135 with a Chronergy escapement and a substantial 70-hour power reserve.
This example pairs the black dial with the vivid green Cerachrom bezel, a ceramic material chosen for its fade and scratch resistance over the aluminum inserts used on earlier Submariners. Fitted to the steel Oyster bracelet with Glidelock extension, allowing on-the-fly sizing over a wetsuit, it combines genuine dive-watch specification with one of the most recognizable colorways in Rolex's current catalog.
