Rolex introduced the current-generation Daytona in 2023, carrying over the caliber 4131 first seen in the platinum model the previous year, an evolution of the long-serving 4130 with a vertical clutch and a 72-hour power reserve. The yellow gold 126518LN pairs that movement with a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel in place of the polished gold bezel of its predecessor, sharpening the contrast on the wrist. The champagne-and-black colorway has earned this reference (and its 116518LN predecessor) the collector nickname "Pikachu," for its resemblance to the Pokémon character's yellow-and-black palette.
This example carries the champagne sunburst dial, set off by black-ringed subdials and gold baton hands and markers. Fitted to the black Oysterflex bracelet with its titanium-nickel core, it trades the weight of a full gold bracelet for a sportier, lighter feel while keeping the 18k gold Oysterlock clasp.
