The Protocole is Piaget at its most disciplined: a stepped square case in 18k white gold, fluted in fine "pinstripe" ribs that carry across the bezel and onto the dial, a recessed fluted crown, and slim dauphine hands over a silver textured face signed simply Piaget. There are no markers and nothing extraneous, only the play of light along the ribbing.

That flatness is the point, and it comes from the calibre 9P, the hand-wound movement Piaget introduced in 1957 at just 2mm thick, the thinnest of its day. It let the maison build cases like this one, around 4mm thin, and it is the movement that made Piaget a byword for ultra-thin dress watchmaking. Long overlooked beside Cartier, these Protocoles have become quietly sought after.

The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
