The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph ref. 5970G is one of the great modern grand complications, combining the classical architecture of Patek Philippe’s perpetual calendar chronograph lineage with a more contemporary 40 mm white-gold case. Its proportions give the watch greater presence than the references that came before it, while the silver dial keeps the overall effect bright, restrained, and highly legible. The display is rich but beautifully ordered, with the calendar indications, moon phases, and chronograph arranged in the balanced manner that has made the 5970 one of the most admired complicated Pateks of its era. Inside is the calibre CH 27-70 Q, the hand-wound movement that gives the 5970 its special place in the history of the model. Developed on the revered Lemania 2310 base and extensively reworked by Patek Philippe, it was the last perpetual calendar chronograph movement of this type before the brand moved fully to its later in-house generation. In white gold on a brown alligator strap, a 2007 ref. 5970G reads as both modern and deeply traditional; substantial, elegant, and exceptionally complete in the way it combines mechanical pedigree with classical Patek Philippe design. Offered as a full set with original box and papers from 2007.
