The reference 5296 is, in many ways, a modern reading of the original 1932 Calatrava reference 96, the watch that established Patek's design language for decades to follow. Launched in 2005 with a sector dial, this baton-marker version followed in 2007, drawing its cleaner layout from the celebrated reference 570.
This example is cased in 18k white gold, with a silvered dial, applied baton indices, and blued leaf hands, powered by the manufacture caliber 324 S C, visible through the sapphire display back and finished to Patek Philippe Seal standards with a 21k gold central rotor. Fitted to a navy alligator strap with a Patek Philippe-signed white gold pin buckle, it represents a quietly confident take on the brand's founding design vocabulary.
