Panerai's Luminor line traces back to the brand's history supplying dive instruments to the Italian Royal Navy, and the crown-protecting bridge, patented in 1956, remains the model's most recognizable engineering signature. The reference PAM00048 is the 40mm automatic version of this design, offering a more wearable size than Panerai's larger 44mm references while keeping the same cushion case and 300m water resistance.
This example runs the automatic caliber marked OP 6690 on the caseback, a COSC-certified movement finished with Côtes de Genève on the bridges. Fitted to a black rubber strap with steel deployant clasp, it pairs genuine tool-watch DNA with the finishing typical of Panerai's dressier steel Luminors.
