Bulgari's Octo Finissimo is the line that has spent the last decade collecting world records for thinness, and the Skeleton is its most legible expression of that obsession. The octagonal case, an octagon laid over another and cut with dozens of facets, appears here in sandblasted rose gold for a matte, architectural finish, while the openworked dial leaves the movement fully on view, gold hands floating over blackened bridges.
The manually wound calibre BVL 128SK is just 2.35mm thick, which keeps the whole watch to around 5.35mm, yet it still carries a small seconds and a power reserve indicator across its 65-hour run. The rose gold crown is set with a ceramic inlay, and a sapphire back repeats the view from behind. It is a great deal of watchmaking for how little sits on the wrist.
