The Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5712/1A-001 was introduced in 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary of Gerald Genta's iconic Nautilus design, succeeding the rare ref. 3712 with a refined 40 mm case and updated movement. Combining a moon phase, pointer date and power reserve indicator in an asymmetrical dial layout, the 5712/1A offered a complication-rich alternative to the time-only 5711 and has since been discontinued, making it one of the most sought-after modern Patek Philippe references on the secondary market.
The stainless-steel case, gradient blue-black horizontally embossed dial and rounded octagonal bezel give the watch the unmistakable Nautilus silhouette, while the three off-centre sub-displays at 5, 7 and 10 o'clock create a visual rhythm unlike any other reference in the collection. Powered by the ultra-thin calibre 240 PS IRM C LU, measuring just 3.98 mm thick with a 22k gold mini-rotor, the watch delivers genuine haute horlogerie complications in a case slim enough for everyday wear. This 2015 example represents a mature production year for a reference that has only grown in desirability since its discontinuation.
The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
