Panerai built its name supplying luminous dive watches to the frogmen of the Italian Navy from the 1930s, and only opened to the public in 1993. The Luminor case, with its cushion shape and the lever device that clamps down over the crown, comes straight from that military lineage. This is the Logo model, the most pared-back Luminor, wearing nothing on the dial but the Panerai OP logo, here in the blue that distinguishes the PAM00631.
The black dial is a sandwich, two discs with luminous compound glowing through cut-out numerals for the legibility Panerai is known for, with a small seconds at nine. Inside is the hand-wound calibre OP II with a 56-hour reserve. It is shown here on a blue rubber strap and comes with its original black leather strap and Panerai buckle as well, so it can be dressed up or down.
The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs, together with the original black leather strap and buckle.
