The Van Cleef & Arpels Lady Arpels Papillon Orange Solaire, ref. HH42850, is part of the Maison’s Extraordinary Dials approach to Poetic Time; where watchmaking becomes a miniature tableau built around grace, movement, and lightness. Introduced for SIHH 2013 and limited to 22 pieces, it captures Van Cleef & Arpels’ long-standing butterfly motif in an autumnal “amber sunlight” palette, turning the dial into an atmospheric scene rather than a conventional display. The 38 mm white-gold case is set with diamonds, framing a mother-of-pearl dial where multiple crafts meet; plique-à-jour enamel brings the butterflies to life, while paillonné enamel creates the glowing sun effect. Time is kept intentionally discreet with a simple hours-and-minutes display and a hand-wound movement, letting the artistic work remain the focal point. This piece is delivered with its case and an official Van Cleef & Arpels certificate of authenticity. Warranty: 2 years
