This is one of Jaeger-LeCoultre's vintage ladies' cocktail watches, the kind of piece the maison built as jewellery first and watch second, and among its most luxurious offerings for women in the 1960s and 70s. The small silvered dial with applied baton markers sits inside a white gold bezel set with a ring of round brilliant diamonds, carried on an integrated woven white gold mesh bracelet that flows straight out of the case.
Behind the dial is a manually wound Jaeger-LeCoultre movement, made to the same standard as the house's larger watches. The appeal is that it is three things at once: fine watchmaking, solid gold and diamonds, in a piece small and discreet enough to disappear under a cuff. It comes from an era when a watch like this was worn as much for the evening as for the time.
The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
