The Andersen Genève Jumping Hours Rising Sun Edition is one of the most refined contemporary jumping-hour watches because it treats the display not as a novelty, but as a frame for dial craftsmanship of an exceptionally high level. Andersen Genève created the Rising Sun as a tribute to its relationship with Japan, and that intention is visible in the watch’s overall mood: calm, precise, and highly decorative without ever feeling excessive. The 38 mm platinum case keeps the proportions compact and classical, while the pink-gold dial transforms the watch completely. Rather than using the dial simply as a background for the indications, Andersen Genève turns it into the central subject of the piece through hand-guilloché engraving and a rich tonal contrast between precious metal, blue printing, and the cool platinum exterior.
