The Reverso was created in 1931 to solve a very specific problem: British officers in colonial India kept cracking the crystals of their wristwatches during polo matches. The solution was a case that swivels 180 degrees on its base, hiding the dial behind a solid metal back, and the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin keeps the model's Art Deco proportions while slimming the case profile for a dressier silhouette.
This example is cased in 18k pink gold, set with 31 diamonds (approximately 0.45ct total) along the gadroons and crown, framing a silvered guilloché dial with Arabic numerals. Fitted to a black alligator strap with pink gold double-fold clasp, it brings genuine jewelry-watch presence to the Reverso's Art Deco lines.
