The Reverso exists because of a practical problem. In 1931, polo players needed a wristwatch that could survive a match, and the answer was a rectangular case that slides and flips within its own frame, hiding the crystal behind a solid steel back. Nearly a century later that mechanism still defines the model, and it explains why the reverse was always left as a blank surface for initials or a dedication. The three horizontal grooves on the case flanks remain the visual signature of the original design.
This ladies’ reference 260.8.86 measures 20 by 33mm in stainless steel and is powered by the manual-winding caliber 846, with roughly 40 hours of power reserve. The silvered dial, with its blue railway track, Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, keeps the Art Deco logic of the original and suits the small rectangular proportions. It sits on a honey brown leather strap with contrasting stitching.
