This is Piaget in full jewellery dress, a lady's watch from around 1970 in solid 18k white gold. A soft cushion case is ringed by a full entourage of diamonds, its silvered dial classical and legible with Roman numerals and slim leaf hands, and the whole piece flows into an integrated white gold bracelet in Piaget's fine textured weave.
Behind the jewellery sits real watchmaking: the movement is built on Piaget's ultra-thin calibre 9P, the hand-wound base introduced in 1957 that made the maison a byword for slimness and freed it to lavish its attention on cases and bezels like this. Discreet on the wrist and unmistakably Piaget, it is a dress watch of the maison's golden era.
