The white guilloché dial, black Arabic numerals, and blued steel hands clearly borrow from the Chronomètre Souverain, a model that F.P. Journe itself describes as a precision chronometer inspired by early nineteenth-century marine chronometers. Enlarged to 126 mm and housed here in stainless steel, the desk clock turns those codes into something more architectural and almost ceremonial, while still retaining the calm, balanced clarity that made the original watch so important.
