The Rolex Chronographe Télémètre ref. 2811/0 is a rare, early Rolex chronograph from the 1930s defined by its compact 32mm steel case and a highly functional multi-scale dial built for measurement, not decoration. This example is especially appealing to collectors because the dial is double signed; Rolex and Verga, the Milan retailer, a detail seen on select period pieces and valued for its provenance and character. A key point on this watch is the work completed by the Rolex Atelier de Restauration in Geneva. The case received refreshed polishing and satin finishing with restoration of the lugs; the tachymeter engravings on the bezel were restored; the Plexiglas crystal was replaced like-for-like; and the crown, crown tube, and pushers were replaced with identical-spec components. The dial was not touched; only the three counter hands were replaced, and the movement was fully restored with disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, chronograph component restoration, lubrication, regulation, and final Rolex quality controls. Comes with Rolex Atelier De Restauration box, service papers and full restoration documents with pictures.
