The L.U.C 1860 takes its name from the year Louis-Ulysse Chopard founded the manufacture, and the original 1996 version marked the brand's first in-house caliber after decades of using outside movements. This steel reference stays faithful to that watch's proportions and dial architecture while updating the material to Chopard's proprietary Lucent Steel, a metal the brand markets as more resistant to scratching and corrosion than conventional stainless steel.
This example carries the salmon dial with a hand-guilloché center medallion and a satin-brushed chapter ring, powered by the manufacture caliber 96.40-L, a COSC-certified movement bearing the Geneva Seal, with a 22k gold micro-rotor and two barrels driving a 65-hour power reserve. Fitted to an anthracite calfskin strap with L.U.C-engraved steel pin buckle, it's a technically serious dress watch built to the exacting standards the Geneva hallmark implies.
The watch is delivered with all items shown in the photographs.
