The 5134 was Patek's Travel Time before the Pilot models took the idea over. Introduced in 2001 to replace the 5034, it keeps two hour hands at the centre, with two pushers on the left of the case jumping the local hand forward or back in one-hour steps and a 24-hour subdial at twelve tracking home time. A running seconds sits at six. This example is cased as a 5134P in platinum and carries a second name on the dial, Gübelin, the Lucerne house founded in 1854 and one of the few retailers Patek allowed to co-sign.
Behind the sapphire back is the manually wound calibre 215 PS FUS 24H, and because this is an early piece it carries the Geneva Seal, the certification Patek used until it introduced its own seal in 2009. In platinum the 5134 is the scarcest of the four metals it was made in, and close enough to white gold that the caseband diamond and the hallmarks are what tell them apart.
