The Patek Philippe 6000G 010 is a Calatrava that reads more like an instrument dial than a minimalist dress watch, using a pointer date scale and an offset small seconds to give the classic 37 mm white gold case a very technical stance. The dial architecture is the signature here: Arabic numerals, a peripheral date track with a red crescent tipped hand, and small seconds positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, all kept legible by the clean separation of scales. Power comes from the ultra thin self winding calibre 240 PS C with micro rotor architecture, a 48 hour reserve and a 21,600 vph cadence, visible through the sapphire back. With its combination of compact proportions, display back and atypical Calatrava layout, the 6000G 010 sits as one of the more individual references in the modern Calatrava line while staying fully within Patek’s finishing and construction standards.
