The Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph ref. 5968A-001 from 2020 is one of the most sporty and recognizable modern Aquanaut references. Its 42.2 mm stainless-steel case preserves the rounded octagonal architecture of the collection, while the black embossed Aquanaut dial and orange accents give the watch a particularly energetic personality. The chronograph is neatly integrated into the design, with a central chronograph seconds hand and a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock that subtly echoes the shape of the case.
Inside is the automatic Patek Philippe calibre CH 28-520 C, a flyback chronograph movement with column wheel, vertical clutch and a power reserve of up to 55 hours. With 120 metres of water resistance, composite strap and sapphire display back, the 5968A-001 is both technically serious and highly wearable. This example is presented as a full set with its original Patek Philippe box and papers, completing the provenance and presentation of this Aquanaut Chronograph beautifully.
