In the 1970s, Patek Philippe perfected its MasterClock electronic timekeeping system and they were considered the most advanced and accurate systems available on the market. The main timing system consisted of a highly accurate master watch with numerous 'slave' watches. They were designed to be protected from water, steam, smoke and salt spray. An almost unlimited number of 'slave' clocks can be connected to the main clock, making it ideal for a multitude of locations, including hospitals, shops, laboratories and power stations.
Accompanied by documentation on Patek Philippe electronic tower systems and a detailed instruction manual on the configuration and use of this system this MasterClock could have been part of a tower that could be modulated as required, kept in excellent working order by connecting to the traditional electrical outlet.
